Planning Board To Meet
WESTFIELD — The Westfield Planning Board will be holding a work session meeting today, June 7, at 3 p.m. in the North Room of Eason Hall to continue their review of the uses in the B-2 Highway Business District.
Jamestown BPU Customer Service Office Closed Monday, June 19
The Jamestown Board of Public Utilities Customer Service Office will be closed all day for staff training on Monday, June 19. The Customer Service lobby will reopen for regular walk-in business and employees will be available by phone on Tuesday, June 20. On Monday, all other BPU offices will be open. Customers are reminded that payments may be made online at www.jamestownbpu.com by e-check, debit card and credit card. Telephone payments are available by calling 716-661-1660, option 3. Check and money order payments are accepted at drop boxes located in the BPU Customer Service parking lot; Tracy Plaza and the Police Station Vestibule, City Hall. The City Clerk's Office also is available to take in-person payments. As a reminder, the BPU Customer Service Office re-opens for business at 9 a.m. Tuesday, June 20.
Sherman Central School Board Workshop and Meeting Mon., June 12
SHERMAN — The Sherman Central School Board will meet at 5 p.m. Monday, June 12, for a workshop concerning a school safety officer. The regular monthly meeting will be held afterwards at 5:30 p.m. The meetings will be held in-person in the school's auditorium. Members of the public are encouraged to attend. It is required that all in attendance must observe social distancing. While facial coverings are not required they are recommended.

Library Reps
FALCONER — Ross Grange will host representatives of local libraries at its next meeting Monday, June 12, at the Falcon's Nest in Falconer. Those involved are from Ellington, Falconer, Fluvanna, Kennedy and Sinclairville libraries. The Grange has supported libraries for several years, recognizing their importance to many residents. Lunch will be served at 12:30 p.m. followed by the program and business meeting. Details for the display booth at the County Fair will be discussed. This year the fair will be July 17 to 23 in Dunkirk.
Senior 6 Hour Driving Course
For June 14
LAKEWOOD — The Brookdale Lakewood Senior Living Center, 220 Southwestern Drive, Lakewood, will host a six-hour AARP six-hour Smart Driver Class on Wednesday, June 14, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the first course designed specifically for drivers over age 50, however drivers of all ages can attend. Participants may be eligible to receive a discount on auto insurance premiums and a reduction of up to four points on their driving record. The cost is $25 for AARP members and $30 for non-members, check or money order only please payable to AARP. Call 716 665-2414 to register for the class, as seating is limited.
