Father's Day Deal: Save up to 25% Off Sonos Soundbars and Portable Speakers

To celebrate Father's Day, Best Buy is offering 25% off select Sonos soundbars and portable speakers. If you're looking for an easy solution to add great sound to your home, then you've probably already heard of Sonos. Sonos speakers are very easy to set up, don't take a large amount of space, and most importantly, offer distortion-free room-filling audio. They certainly make a great gift for dads who take pride in their home theater setup. The only caveat is that Sonos speakers aren't inexpensive and discounts don't come around as often as we'd like. Fortunately, the deals today are the best we've seen so far this year.

You can check out our picks for the best soundbars of 2023 (Sonos is our top choice).

Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built-in

The Sonos Arc is a premium soundbar and it shows. You can't get much better in terms of sound quality from a soundbar, and that's thanks to its chunkier 45" length. There's enough space in there to contain eleven precisely engineered internal speakers, including two dedicated height channels. It's Dolby Atmos ready, and there's enough power here that you can probably get away without a subwoofer. The Sonos Arc also has Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built-in so that you can use it as a smart speaker. It has other nifty features, like an ambient light sensor, HDMI eARC, capacitive touch controls, WiFi, and more.

Thanks to its diminutive 22" length, the Sonos Ray soundbar fits just about anywhere with just about any size TV. Despite its compact size, it still pumps out room-filling audio with its two tweeters and two woofers. The Sonos Ray has built-in WiFi so it can double up as a home audio speaker through the Sonos app, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, and more.

Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built-in

The Sonos beam is a bit longer at 26" but it also has a lot more functionality and better sound. The better sound is thanks to more drivers: four elliptical midwoofers, one central tweeter and three passive bass radiators. It's also Dolby Atmos ready. The Sonos Beam has Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built-in so that you can use it as a smart speaker.

The Sonos soundbars and speakers provide an appreciate amount of bass in a self-contained enclosure. However, if ground-shaking heart-pounding bass is what you're after, you need to upgrade to a discrete sub. The Sonos Sub has two 6" drivers that face inwards towards each other to eliminate vibrations, each powered by its own amplifier. The Sonos sub maintains a small footprint, it looks good, and it has wireless connectivity so you can avoid the hassle of routing a cable back to the rest of your home theater components.

The Sonos Roam SL is a portable wireless speaker with up to 10 hours of playtime on a single charge. It's built to handle the elements thanks to a rugged shock-absorbent, waterproof, and dustproof chassis. It can even be submerged in one meter of water for up to 30 minutes. It can be paired to practically any Bluetooth device.

Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built-in

The Sonos Roam Smart is identical to the Roam SL except it also doubles as a smart speaker. That's right, it has both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built-in so it can replace your Echo device. That's good because the sound quality on this is better than every Echo except the heavier, more expensive, and non-portable Echo Studio.

Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built-in

The Sonos Move is six times larger than the Roam, but in exchange for the heftier size you get far better acoustics. You get clean, accurate sound and a good amount of bass thanks to its integrated cabinet mid-woofer, down-firing tweeter, and two Class-D digital amplifiers. Like the Roam Smart, it has both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant built-in so it can double up as your smart speaker.

The Sonos One is a small standalone powered speaker that pumps out great sound for its small footprint. The best thing about the Sonos One is its multi-pairing capability. Pair it with another Sonos One SL speaker for seamless stereo sound. Pair it with a soundbar and use them as rear wireless speakers. Pair it with Sonos speakers in different rooms for multi-room capability.

Despite the fact that Sonos products are compact and don't take up much space in your house, they offer surprisingly loud and distortion-free audio. They're definitely pricier than budget options, but the sound quality is more akin to audio products that cost hundreds more or take up much more space.

Sonos devices are usually simple plug and play. All you have to do is plug in a power cable (if even that's necessary) and one connection to your TV (if even that's necessary), download the Sonos app, and you're done. Generally a receiver isn't required; the soundbars are designed to plug right into your TV and the speakers are designed to work wirelessly. For something like a 5.1ch home theater setup, you don't have to deal with a mess of cables. Individual Sonos speakers can pair with your soundbar and be used as rear satellites, and the subwoofer is also wireless so it can be positioned virtually anywhere in your room.

Practically all Sonos speakers can communicate with each other. That means you can pair different Sonos speakers in different rooms for multi-room capability. Or you can pair two speakers for stereo output. Or you can pair speakers to your soundbar to be used as a 5.1ch setup. It's all seamlessly done through the Sonos app.
