LG Electronics has launched a series of four digital whiteboard solutions for educational environments.
The LG CreateBoard boasts a multi-touch screen that provides smooth and interactive writing and drawing experiences. The products also offer seamless collaboration with dedicated digital learning applications, and remote management via an easy-to-use cloud-based solution.
The whiteboards are equipped with a 3,840 by 2,160 (UHD) resolution display that is suited to learning games and collaborative activities.
QR verification allows instructors to easily access their own Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive, and to quickly share teaching materials with students without having to print them out. The LG CreateBoard's Smart Viewing feature makes it possible to display two or more materials on screen, either in separate windows or overlaid in picture-in-picture mode.
The LG CreateBoard Lab application offers a range of writing tools that can boost student engagement. An additional application, LG CreateBoard Share, enables the wireless sharing of up to nine screens on a single LG CreateBoard simultaneously. This lets students share files from their personal devices and view their work with the teacher, creating the opportunity for constructive feedback and the sharing of ideas.
A cloud-based device management solution designed for learning environments, LG ConnectedCare DMS, enables multiple LG CreateBoard displays to be managed remotely. The subscription based solution features an integrated dashboard that allows IT managers to remotely control simple display functions.
Paik Ki-mun, senior vice-president of LG Electronics’ information display business unit, said: "The LG CreateBoard offers educational professionals and students an engaging and interactive experience, and is well suited to today's digital learning environments and methods."
